Darwin Festival is an annual event fondly known as Australia’s hottest winter arts festival, celebrating music, theatre, arts and culture and everything in between.
Normally attracting artists and audiences from around Australia and the globe, the organisers at Darwin Festival needed to rethink how their seasonal 2020 event would take form in response to Covid-19. The festival was quickly reimagined with a focus on local artists, and aimed to provide a much-needed moral boost for people in Darwin and across the Territory. 
Due to this shift in programming, a distinctly different event identity was designed around the new ‘DF20 Homegrown’ title featuring vibrant dynamic graphics that conveyed the idea of ‘emergence’, which was applied across over 40 print, digital and environmental applications.
