Darwin Festival is an annual event fondly known as Australia’s hottest winter arts festival, celebrating music, theatre, arts and culture and everything in between.
Normally attracting artists and audiences from around Australia and the globe, the organisers at Darwin Festival needed to rethink how their 2020 event would take shape in response to Covid. The festival was quickly reimagined with a focus on local artists, providing a much-needed moral boost for people in Darwin and across the Territory.
In response to the programming shift, a bold new event identity was created around the 'DF20 Homegrown' title, featuring dynamic graphics that symbolised 'emergence.' As the lead designer, I was responsible for creating the identity, which was then applied to over 40 print, digital, and environmental touchpoints.
