Initiated and organised by Jawoyn Association, the Nitmiluk Festival is a week-long celebration of Jawoyn country, culture and community in the Nitmiluk and Katherine region.
Being a new festival, Jawoyn Association required an entirely new logo and supporting identity that would engage, inform, and feel inclusive to help instil a sense of pride and ownership within the community.
A unique wordmark was designed for the logo which features a wavy dotted line through the type, a subtle nod to the Jawoyn Association identity. Keeping the logo strong and simple allowed for the supporting identity to come alive, bringing excitement and energy to all festival materials.
The vibrant suite of brand illustrations convey the various events and activities within the program, and celebrate the region’s diverse communities through song, dance, food and story.
